My Preferences
I read fiction almost all the time. I prefer E-book (MOBI/EPUB/PDF) format.
Genres I would be happy to review:
- Young/New Adult (Preferred)
- Epic/High/Urban Fantasy (Preferred)
- Mystery/Suspense
- Sci-Fi/Thriller
- Adventure/Action
- Poetry/Anthologies
- Chapbooks/Light Novels
- Romance/Contemporary
I do not review Horror/Erotica/Biographies/Memoirs/Graphic Novels/Novellas/Non-Fiction/Children’s Books/Middle Grade Books.
My Reading Routine
I read mostly for pleasure and usually I’m reading 3 to 4 books at once, while also working full-time. So, I don’t have a time frame of how long it might take me to read a book. For the most part, I can read a book within two to four weeks. However, I might not able to commit to your time window for posting a review.
My Reviews
Reviews will be centered on my thoughts about the plot, characters, world building, and my overall enjoyment of the story. All reviews are spoiler-free, unless specified.
My Reviews are not a paid service. I accept unsolicited manuscripts, Advance Reader Copies, yet-to-be-published and already-published books from traditional, hybrid, and indie Authors. I don’t beta-read at the moment.
Reviews for which I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review be titled as “Featured Review“. I also Reciprocate Reviews, where we read and review each other’s book. And, I’m open to interviews and guest posts.
My Rating
Ratings are between 1 to 5 stars (including 0.5 stars), as follows:
1 star: “I barely managed to finish the book” 🙄
2 star: “Wasn’t really into it” 🙁
3 star: “It was okay for time-pass, but I had expected a bit more” 😐
4 star: “I liked it quite a bit” 🙂
5 star: “I loved it!” 😀
If I don’t finish a book, for whatever reason, they are kept on-hold.
Afterwards, if I still don’t return to it, they get a DNF (Did Not Finish).
I generally don’t review DNF books, unless I feel the need to.
My Yearly Wrap-ups
For Yearly Wrap-ups, I’ll be listing the books I’ve read in that year, including my Rating, and one reason each of ‘why I liked it’ and ‘why I didn’t like it’.
