Waste of time.

I had pre-ordered this book but now I’m re-considering to even order the remaining books in this series.

ACOFAS starts off after some time has passed from the events of ACOWAR. Ferye, Rhys, and the inner circle are learning to accept themselves after what they’ve lost during the war and preparing for the festivities of the Winter Solstice.

This book lacked the SJM fast-paced writing and several paragraphs felt repeated sometimes with the exact same words. The plot itself didn’t progress much further. In just 229 pages, it actually felt that it was quite a useless read.

There were several chapters that were either a flashback sequence or just the characters remembering

the past events. In my opinion, those chapters were simply there to add to the word count because honestly someone reading this novella is more likely to have read the previous 3 books.

Moreover, having read more POC books of POC Authors/POC Characters in the duration from ACOWAR to ACOFAS, this book felt utterly ‘white’.

1.5 out of 5 stars.
